I still love this dress. That shouldn't be any surprise... but looking at the photos again has thrilled me.

Sandi is one of my earliest clients - she came to me when I was still working from my home studio. Her selections for the heavy beading that was sparingly used on the bodice and more extensively on the draped sash were very clear. Sandi also requested colour... yellow to be specific.

Perhaps not surprisingly, given the beach wedding, and her name - - we came up with a sandy cream yellow and the silk georgette for the underskirts was hand-dyed a shade darker than required, so that is showed through the white georgette overskirts subtly with movement. The sash also was dyed to tone in with the pale hint of colour.

The setting tipped the scale for the dress - and the photos show that the subtle colour was a master-stroke for Sandi!
