At this point writing these little stories - I am aware how often I am saying that I feel lucky to meet such wonderful and giving people as clients... can it all be true? Well - - there must be something about this job or I am just lucky.

Billie's vision for this dress was very clear from the outset. We had an image as inspiration - and we had a sample of the colour... We knew it needed pockets. It took us a little while to find a gorgeous heavy cotton lace, and then we set about dyeing six metres of it... the first dye wasn't quite right - so back it all went - using a wonderfully colourfast type of dye that doesn't even bleed when it's wet. Final touches like the subtle beading and back closure were confirmed in later fittings.

It rained on the day - which is a sign of future happiness (I am convinced!) but the fresh colour shone through - - like the stunning bride and groom.
